History_{Pre Birth: Whitefall and Eaglecry were childhood sweethearts, essentially glued to one another's sides as they grew up and ascended in the CliffClan ranks. It was no surprise when the two announced that Whitefall would soon have Eaglecry's kittens. What was a surprise was when another she cat, Featherfur, also claimed to be carrying Eaglecry's kittens. While everyone had a hard time believing that their OTP was not as perfect as they thought, Featherfur was a kind and soft spoken she cat who no one could really believe would lie about such a thing. Eaglecry tactfully avoided all confrontation on the matter, and eventually the whole thing kind of blew over and was more or less forgotten. Whitefall remains very bitter about the whole thing and denies with every fiber of her being that Featherfur is a liar, but otherwise tensions died down. Whitefall had her litter of kittens half a moon before Featherfur had hers, each sporting a litter of healthy kits. Much to Whitefall's dismay, they all resembled their father.
Kithood: Crumblekit was born to Featherfur, fathered by Eaglecry. They inherited their mother's calico coloring and their father's white markings and eyes. Raised by their gentle mother, Featherfur taught them to be kind, polite and quiet. Crumblekit was too young to understand why that white she cat in the Nursery would always hiss at him when he got too close, but one day they discovered that they felt something that their mother had not taught them- ambition. Crumblekit went out of their way to quietly please Whitefall, helping to carry prey into the den for her as well as his mother. Begrudgingly, Whitefall warmed up to the kit until they became like another child to her. Featherfur was relieved to have a bridge between her and Whitefall, and the two would gradually become friends as Crumblekit aged. Crumblekit spent most of their time either cuddling with their mum and listening to stories, or listening to Whitefall boast about her achievements and adventures as a Warrior. Ultimately, Crumblekit's personality became a sort of mush between the two because of their influence; quiet and shy, but also determined and fierce. Eaglecry, on the other paw, seemed determined to avoid the awkwardness and rarely visited the nursery after their birth.
Apprenticeship: Crumblekit was elated to become an Apprentice and worked day and night to prove their worth. Encouraged by both Whitefall and Featherfur, they found all the emotional support they needed despite their father's absence in their life. Mentored by a sour old tom named Shatteredclaw, Crumblepaw ate up every single word he said. He climbed until his paws bled, hunted every creature they saw and practiced to fight every day. Most nights, Crumblepaw fell asleep eating their dinner, at which point either Whitefall or Featherfur would usher them to their nest to sleep. It was about this time that they noticed that their mother and faux-mother had become much closer than friends, both openly ignoring Eaglecry to spend more time with one another. Crumblepaw did not have a particular opinion on the matter, just content that their makeshift family remained intact.
Young Warriorhood: Crumblepaw was named Crumblestep a moon earlier than was expected due to their particularly impressive performance during a fox attack. Crumblestep is quite proud of this fact, although they are too socially awkward to try and boast about it. Shatteredclaw died only a few days after their ceremony, and Crumblestep helped carry his body to the cliffs. They remain upset about the loss, but otherwise spends most of their days providing for their Clan as much as possible.}
